Carlos Ghosn will reveal the names of those who, he said, plotted for his arrest in 2018 over financial irregularities he would have committed as Nissan's president.
Those involved include Japanese government officials, Kyodo reported, taking as source the US media Fox Business.
Ghosn told the media that he has evidence and documents probusing a plot to get him out of the way in order to thwart his plan to merge Nissan and French manufacturer Renault.
This isn't new. In October last year, one of Ghosn's lawyers said the case against his client was "an illegal collusion between prosecutors, government officials of japan's Ministry of Economy, and Nissan executives."
All of them, according to the lawyer, came together to get rid of Ghosn and avoid strengthening Renault's alliance with Nissan, "which threatens the autonomy of one of the flagships of Japanese industry."
The former president of Nissan is scheduled to hold a press conference in Beirut on Wednesday. (International Press)
