Japan recorded the highest average temperature in more than 120 years in 2019

In 2019 the average temperature in Japan reached its highest level since 1898, when the country began its records.

The temperature exceeded the normal year level by 0.92 degrees Celsius, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency, Jiji Press reported.

The city of Tainai, located in Niigata Prefecture, was the place where thermometers rated a maximum for last year: 40.7 degrees. Date? August 15th.

The agency collected data from 15 observation points across the country.
