NHK: Ghosn traveled in shinkansen to Osaka before fleeing Japan

The mystery about Carlos Ghosn's escape gradually dissipates. The NHK reveals that images from security cameras are rebuilding the executive's footsteps before fleeing the country.

Here are the details:

On Sunday, December 29, around 2:30 p.m., Ghosn left his residence in Tokyo and met two men, apparently U.S. citizens, in a luxurious hotel located about 800 metres away.

The three climbed into a shinkansen at Tokyo's Shinagawa Station to travel to Shin-Osaka Station, which they arrived shortly before 7:30 p.m.

Shortly after 8 p.m., Ghosn and his companions arrived at a hotel near Kansai International Airport.

Two hours later, the two men accompanying Ghosn left the hotel carrying two containers. No security camera searched the former Nissan president leaving the hotel.

The two men arrived at Kansai Airport, where they took a private plane to Turkey that departed at around 11:10 p.m.

Subjects stated that the containers were related to the music. None of the containers went through x-ray checks or opened by customs officials.

As the reader may have guessed, everything indicates that Ghosn was hiding inside one of the containers. (International Press)
