The Lebanese prosecutor's office imposed a travel ban on Carlos Ghosn, a day after he gave a press conference in which he attacked the Japanese legal system, calling him "inhuman," and reiterated his innocence.
The former president of Nissan was also questioned by prosecutors following an Interpol order requested by the Japanese authorities, Kyodo reveals.
However, the chance of Lebanon handing Ghosn over to Japan seems low. There is no extradition treaty between the two countries.
During the conference, the executive stated that he was prepared to remain for a long time in Lebanon, land of his ancestors. (International Press)
