When you think of Sony, you come to mind PlayStation or relics like the walkman, but not a car.
However, the Japanese giant presented in Las Vegas its first prototype electric vehicle equipped with autonomous driving technology, Kyodo reveals.
Sony can now boast of its automotive technology.
The presentation was made by Sony President and CEO Kenichiro Yoshida.
The sedan has 33 sensors to improve in- and out-of-vehicle object detection and high-quality speakers that deliver a full-dip listening experience.
The vehicle, equipped with artificial technology, is part of the Vision-S initiative, which seeks to strengthen safety and increase driving comfort.
Sony will test the prototype on the roads in March 2021. However, for now it has no plans to market the car or mass produce it. (International Press)
