One man died on Monday after hanging from a pedestrian bridge in front of Shinjuku Station, Tokyo Reporter reported.
A pedestrian saw the man hanging from his scarf and called the police. The victim, a person in his thirties, was transferred to a hospital, where his death was certified.
The man had a mental disability and shortly before he took his own life he had eaten with a known person, to whom he said "now I'm going to die."
The bridge leads to Shinjuku Mylord Shopping Mall at Shinjuku Station. (International Press)
