Peruvian Nipo Kaoru Morioka (40), an international with the Japanese Football team and so far a F League player, signed for Parrulo Ferrol, the Galician team of the Spanish League's first division.
Kaoru will be the winter reinforcement of Ferrol, just as the second lap of La Liga begins where the team marches in 10th place in the standings with 17 points, in a fight to get into the Play Off and stay away from the relegation.
"Playing in the Spanish League is a dream," the pivot told International Press. "I'll do everything I can on my new team," he added.
Your signing has been a pretty quick operation. Kaoru was contacted last week by Ferrol agents and yesterday 5 January signed the contract that signed him until the end of the season, in June of this year.
"They called me a week ago and we came to an agreement. Playing in the League is not a matter of money but fulfilling a goal that I have always dreamed of," he said.
Kaoru's arrival is the news of the day in the Spanish world, both for his individual and collective record for his age. About to turn 41 on April 7, the Peruvian Nipoperuano is expected to do some of what made him a 4-time F League Player and Goalscorer and once An Asia Champions League Player.
Ferrol fans have commented on the team's Facebook account in a positive and excited way about Kaoru's 40 Aprils: "Age is a handicap. Let's see if it surprises us" or "40 years for 41? How is he? Anybody got it under control? Welcome, your luck will be our Kaoru!"
The player said that he is only waiting for plane tickets to depart for the city of Ferrol, province of La Coruña in Galicia. Your departure could happen this week. (International Press)
